At usTwo I partnered with the Financial Times to prototype their next-generation app.
The point of it was to demonstrate a cross-platform approach to code re-use — one implementation of the parts that don't need to differ, native where the platform genuinely matters. It's the same argument I've ended up making everywhere since, and these days I'd reach for Rust to make it.
The bit I'd offer as evidence it landed: after the engagement ended, the FT went and recruited for that skill set. A prototype that changes what a client hires for did its job better than one that just gets admired in a meeting.
